What the Evaluation Assesses
Federal law enforcement psychological evaluations assess whether an applicant demonstrates the psychological fitness required for a demanding public safety role. Evaluations typically examine:
• Emotional stability and stress tolerance
• Judgment, decision-making, and impulse control
• Integrity and conscientiousness
• Social competence and interpersonal functioning
• Psychological conditions that may impair performance in a law enforcement role
Each evaluation is tailored to the specific requirements of the requesting agency. Evaluations are conducted in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines established by the American Psychological Association (APA).
